Join print maker Emma Jones for a fantastic 2 hour workshop in The Almanac Cafe
Spend two hours learning how to print from nature onto paper and fabric and to create a beautiful hand-printed tea towel which you can keep!
Using locally foraged leaves and water-based printing inks, you’ll learn how to select your leaves and plant material and how to create prints on paper and fabric using a simple hand-printing technique. We’ll explore colour and composition, and share tips and techniques for how you can continue your practice at home.
No experience necessary, but please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on. The paints are non-toxic but may cause staining.
Emma is a freelance illustrator specialising in hand-drawn illustration, printmaking and painting. With a background in both wildlife conservation and set design, her work often includes strong themes of natural history and architecture.
