Explore this little known corner of Plymouth with members of the Collings Park Trust

Come and visit Collings Community Garden! Learn about the garden, the plants and trees and how the community garden was formed.

Collings Park Trust is a local community group and registered charity set up to develop a community garden on the site of the former lawn tennis courts in Collings Park, Plymouth.

Meet members of the Trust on the corner of Hartley Avenue and Compton Knoll Close on Sunday 18th May at 10.30am.

The site is pretty flat but there is one set of ten woodland steps (although visitors don't necessarily need to go up or down them).

There are two entrances, one at the top of Compton Knoll Close (limited parking) and one across Collings Park Playing field, with parking usually available on Eggbuckland Road, outside of the tennis courts.

The gardens do not have a toilet.

Collings Park Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charities Commission (Reg. No. 1163248), with stated objectives as follows:

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Plymouth Compton Ward and surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, or for the public at large, in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of Collings Park in Plymouth.
To advance the education of the public, in particular pupils from local schools and preschools, by providing facilities and opportunities within Collings Park for learning about the natural environment.
