A nature sound, listening and drawing workshop.
The world is busy and at times over stimulating. Bring your children and join me for a mindful, experimental session, practising taking time to stop and tuning into sounds around us and within the trees. How does the world feel when we just focus on the sound of our breath, a bird, the wind, how do our body and mind feel? What can sounds look like? What shape or colour are they?
The session will consist of some listening and drawing/mark-making activities to help your children focus on sound and relax, no drawing experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.
I'm suggesting age 7+ but if you feel your child could manage periods of silence, then please feel free to bring them.
A parent or guardian needs to attend with each child or family, but just book a ticket for participating children. It will be a reasonably small group due to the nature of the activity, so places will be limited, so I ask if you can please give good warning if possible if you are unable to attend so the place can be offered to another.
