Celebrate our Urban Trees with REBEL CRAFTS by creating a crochet tree spinner and/or tree fairy

Celebrate our Urban Trees with REBEL CRAFTS by creating a crochet tree spinner and/or tree fairy to hang from four special trees next to the Palace Theatre. Our event brings, colour, creativity and joy which highlights the long-held traditions of many cultures who decorate trees to symbolise the gifts that trees bring to the neighbourhood!

If you have basic crochet skills, come and learn how to make a simple tree spinner. Bring a crochet hook if you have one, we will provide the wool!

And for everyone else we will have pegs dolls ready to decorated and turn into well-wishing tree fairies which will hang from the tree spinners!

Please wear sensible clothing as glue and paint may be involved!

Our decorations will last for the day and then go on to be displayed inside The Plot window on Union Street!

Please collect your work of art at any time to take home and keep as a reminder of the Urban Tree Festival!
